खोर गोपुर अजर बगर नव कुंजपति ललित गली गलिनमें कान्ति दीपावली ॥ साज भूषण बनी भांत सब नव अलि परम शोभित रसिक चतुर चन्द्रावली ॥१ ॥
The lanes, gateways, courtyards, open spaces, beautiful new groves, and lovely little streets of Vraj are all shining with the radiance of Deepavali. Adorned with beautiful garments and ornaments of many kinds, the young Sakhis look exceedingly graceful, especially the charming and accomplished Chandravali. ॥१॥
चंद गोविंद अरविंद राधा बदन राजत सकत युवति कुमुदावली ॥ पांति दीपक बनी मानो हो मनिक फनी रचित गिरिधरन हित तरुणी रूपावली ॥२ ॥
Govind shines like the moon, while Radha's face is as beautiful as a lotus. The young maidens gathered around Them appear like a lovely cluster of blooming night lotuses. The rows of lamps arranged by these beautiful young Sakhis for Giridhar shine like precious jewels upon the hoods of serpents. ॥२॥
झांझ बीना मुरज महुवरी किन्नरी बजत जलजत्र उचरत शब्दावली ॥ ततथेई थुंगनी नटत उघटत परन चलत नुपुर चरम रूरत हारावली ॥३ ॥
Cymbals, veenas, mridangas, mahuwaris, kinnaris, and jalatran instruments are being played, filling the surroundings with beautiful musical sounds. Dancers gracefully perform to rhythmic syllables such as “tat-thei,” displaying intricate movements and rhythmic patterns. Their anklets ring sweetly with every step, while their beautiful necklaces sway gently. ॥३॥
दीपमाला चहुं ओर अद्भुत रुचिर मध्य कनिक नगराज फूली चंपावली ॥ देख सुर सहित सुरनारी मन व्रज हरखि के करत सब मिलि वृष्टि कनक पुष्पावली ॥४ ॥
Wonderful and beautiful rows of lamps shine in every direction. In their midst, golden champa flowers appear to be blooming in all their splendour. Beholding this magnificent celebration in Vraj, the gods and goddesses are filled with joy and together shower golden flowers from above. ॥४॥
होत उद्योत दीपमाला सुभग भानु शशि कोटि मणि लज्जित तारावली ॥ निरख छबि नंद सुत रसिक 'व्रजपतिदास' शरण नंदलाल तिहुं लोक भूपावली ॥५ ॥
The beautiful rows of lamps shine with such extraordinary brilliance that even the sun, the moon, millions of precious jewels, and the countless stars seem humbled by their radiance. Beholding the wonderful splendour of the charming son of Nanda, Vrajpatidas takes refuge in Nandalal, the Lord of the rulers of all three worlds. ॥५॥
