MEANING
लोचन लालची भये ॥ रोके न रहत प्रेमके माते पलक कपाट दये ॥१॥ The eyes have become eager. Filled with love, they cannot be held back, even when the eyelids are shut like doors. ॥१॥ले मनदूत पवनव्हे निकसे बहुर्यो स्यामपें गये ॥ सूरके प्रभु खरेई सोदागार बिनुग्रथ मोल लये ॥२॥ Taking the mind as their messenger, they slipped out like the wind and went again toward Shyam. Sur says: Prabhu is truly a skilled merchant—He has bought them without spending anything. ॥२॥
