मान मनायो राधा प्यारी ॥ कहियत मदन दहन को नायकपीर प्रीतिकी न्यारी ॥१॥
Beloved Radha is being lovingly coaxed out of her displeasure. He is called the lord of Cupid’s destroyer, yet the pain of love has its own ways. ॥१॥
धु. ॥ तुजू कहत ही कबहु न रूसों अवधों कैसें रूसी ॥ विनहीं शिशिर तनक तामसतें तुवमुख कमल विदूसी तेरे ॥२॥
You used to say, “I shall never be displeased.” How, then, have you become displeased now? Without even winter’s frost, this little anger has caused your lotus face to lose its bloom. ॥२॥
विरहरूप रसनागरी लीने पलट कछूसी ॥ तैरें हूती प्रेमकी संपति सो संपति किन मूसी ॥३॥
O graceful one, versed in love’s sweetness, separation has changed your appearance somewhat. You possessed the treasure of love—who has stolen that treasure away? ॥३॥
