MEANING
मुरली हमसों बैर दृढ़ायौ ॥चली निपट इतराय नेंकही हरि अधरन परसायौ ॥१॥“The Murali has firmly set herself against us. She goes about utterly full of pride, simply because Hari has placed her upon His lips. ॥१॥फूली फिरत श्याम कर बैठी योंही गर्व बढ़ायौ ॥ज्यों निरधन धन पाय अचानक नयन अकाश चढ़ायौ ॥२॥Sitting in Shyam’s hand, she goes about swollen with pride, and thus her arrogance has grown—as when a poor person suddenly acquires wealth and raises his eyes to the sky. ॥२॥सूरस्याम देखत सिहात हैं ताकूँ जाय रिझाये ॥त्रिभुवनपति श्रीपति जे कहावत तिन मुरली बस पाये ॥३॥Sur says: Shyam looks upon her with delight, and she has won His heart. He who is called the Lord of the three worlds and Shripati has come under the sway of the Murali. ॥३॥
