MEANING
श्रीविठ्ठलनाथजुके आज बधाई ॥मार्गशिर कृष्ण अष्टमीको शशी उदयो पूरण माई ॥१॥Today there is joyful celebration for Shri Vitthalnathju. On the eighth day of the dark fortnight of Margashirsha, the full moon has arisen. ॥१॥पूरेचोक धाममोतिनके वंदनवार बंधाई ॥ध्वजा पताका दीप कलशसज धूप सुगंध महाई ॥२॥The courtyards of the abode are decorated with pearls, and festive torans are hung. Flags, banners, lamps, and kalashas are beautifully arranged, while the rich fragrance of incense spreads everywhere. ॥२॥बाजत ढोल निशान नगारे झांझ झमक सहनाई ॥गगन विमानन छाय रह्योहे देव कुसुम बरखाई ॥३॥Dhols, nishans, and nagaras resound, together with ringing jhanjhs and shehnais. The sky is filled with celestial vimanas, while the devas shower flowers. ॥३॥श्रुति मुख बोलत जय जय बोलत डोलत चहुँदिश धाई ॥रसिकदास मतिहीन दीन अति गोविंद नाम कहाई ॥४॥The Shrutis themselves proclaim His glory; cries of “Jaya! Jaya!” resound and spread in every direction. Rasikdas, without wisdom and deeply humble, calls upon the name of Govind. ॥४॥
