MEANING
कहन लागे मोहन मैया मैया । बाबा बाबा नंदरायसों अरु हलधरसों भैया भैया ॥१॥Mohan began to say, “Mother, Mother”; to Nandarai, “Father, Father”; and to Haldhar, “Brother, Brother.” ॥१॥छगन मगन मधुसूदन माधौ सब ब्रज लेत बलैया। नाचत मोर रहत संग उनके तोतरे बोल बुलैया ॥२॥Chhagan, Magan, Madhusudan, Madhau—everyone in Vraj takes His balaiyā̃. Peacocks dance and remain with Him, while His sweet, faltering words call them near. ॥२॥दूरि खेलन जिन जाउ मनोहर मारैगी काहूकी गैया । मात यशोदा ठाड़ी टेरै लै लै नाम कन्हैया ॥३॥“Do not go far away to play, O beautiful one; you may strike someone's cow.” Mother Yashoda stands calling out again and again, taking the name of Kanhaiya. ॥३॥सब गोकुलमें आनंद उपज्यौ घरघर होत बधैया । नंदनंदन की या छवि ऊपर परमानंद बलि जैया ॥४॥Joy has arisen throughout all of Gokul, and congratulations are being sung in every home. Paramanand is a sacrifice to this lovely form of Nanda's son. ॥४॥
