MEANING
सुंदर बदनरी सुख सदन श्यामको निरखि नेन मन थाक्यो ॥हो ठाडी विथन व्हे निकस्यो उझकि झरोका झांक्यो ॥१॥Beholding the beautiful face of Shyam, the abode of happiness, my eyes and heart became completely absorbed. I was standing in the lane when He came out and leaned forward to look through the jharokha. ॥१॥लालन एक चतुराई किनी गेंद उछार गगन मिस ताक्यो ॥बेरिन लाज भईरी मोकों में गंवार मुख ढांक्यो ॥२॥Lala cleverly tossed His ball into the air and, on that pretext, looked toward me. At that very moment I became shy, and in my simplicity I covered my face. ॥२॥चितबनमें कछु करगयो मोतन चढ्यो रहत चित चाक्यो ॥With that one glance He did something to me; my heart remained deeply captivated and amazed.सूरदास प्रभु सर्वस्व लेकें हंसत हंसत रथ हांक्यो ॥३॥Surdas says: Prabhu took away everything of mine and, smiling all the while, drove His chariot onward. ॥३॥
