MEANING
तुमदेखो सखरी रथबैठे हरिआज ॥ अग्रज अनुज सहित श्यामघन सबे मनोहर साज ॥१॥O sakhi, behold Hari seated upon the chariot today. With His elder and younger brothers beside Him, dark Shyam shines amid every beautiful adornment. ॥१॥हाटक कलशा ध्वजा पताका छत्र चमर शिरताज ॥ तुरंग चाल अति चपल चलेहें देख पवन मनलाज ॥२॥Golden finials, banners, flags, the royal canopy, and chamaras adorn Him like a crown. The spirited horses move so swiftly that even the wind would feel humbled on seeing their speed. ॥२॥सुदि आषाढ़ द्वीज शुभदिन पुष्य नक्षत्र शुभयोग ॥ वनमाला पीतांबर ओढें धूप दीप बहुभोग ॥३॥On the auspicious second day of the bright half of Ashadh, under the fortunate conjunction of the Pushya nakshatra, He wears a vanamala and Pitambar, while incense, lamps, and many kinds of bhog are offered. ॥३॥गारी देत सबे मनभाई कीरति अगम अपार ॥ माधोदास चरणनको सेवक जगन्नाथ श्रुतिसार ॥४॥All sing pleasing festive songs, while His glory is unfathomable and boundless. Madhodas is the sevak of His feet; Jagannath is the very essence praised by the Shrutis. ॥४॥
