MEANING
वधावनो हेली भानके आज जन्मीहे जीवन मूल ॥ध्रु०॥“Sing the joyful congratulations, Sakhi! Today, in the house of Bhan, the very source of life has been born.” ॥ध्रु०॥धन्य धन्य संजा कूंख सजनी धन्य धन्य दिन ए जाम ॥प्रकटी श्रीयमुना जगतारण सफल भये सब काम ॥१॥“Blessed, blessed is Sanja’s womb, Sajani; blessed, blessed are this day and this hour. Shri Yamuna has appeared to deliver the world, and every purpose has been fulfilled.” ॥१॥ऋतु वसंत मधुमास गुरुदिन पक्ष पुन्य उजियार ॥घोस छठ जन्म लियो सूरज सुता कुमार ॥धर्यो नाम कलिदनंदनी रूप गुणनकी खांन ॥२॥It was the spring season, the month of Chaitra, on Thursday, in the sacred bright fortnight. On the sixth day, the daughter of Surya was born as a Kumari. She was named Kalindanandini, a treasure-house of beauty and virtues. ॥२॥महिमा अपरंपार जाकी वरनी वेद पुरान ।कहत श्रीविश्राम ढिंग नित्य सकल सुखकी रास ॥३॥Her glory is boundless and is described by the Vedas and Puranas. It is said that near Shri Vishram, She eternally abides as the very treasury of every happiness. ॥३॥चार पदारथ दान दाता भक्ति मुक्ति अनुसार ॥अद्भुत कन्या देख दिनपति बढ्यो मन उल्लास ॥४॥She bestows the four purusharthas and grants bhakti and mukti accordingly. Seeing this wondrous daughter, Dinapati, the Sun, was filled with increasing joy. ॥४॥जलहि जमुना तीर तपकुं दियो हे दिनकर वास ॥लिये अर्जुन संग यदुपति सुनत आये धाय ॥जानजियकी दोउ कर गहे लीनी रथ बेठाय ॥५॥Dinakar gave Her a dwelling by the waters of Yamuna, where She remained for tapas. Hearing of Her, Yadupati came quickly with Arjuna. Knowing the desire of Her heart, He took both Her hands and seated Her upon His chariot. ॥५॥तुरत पिय पटरानी व्याही द्वारका निज धाम ॥ढोल मृदंग निशान बाजत गावत मंगल वाम ॥६॥Piya then married Her as His chief queen and brought Her to His own abode of Dwarka. Dhols, mridangs, and nishans resounded, while the women sang auspicious songs. ॥६॥चढविमान मुनि देव वरखत कुसुम ले ले धाय ॥निरख शोभा नेन फूले रहे थकित नव छाय ॥७॥Munis and devas came in celestial vimanas and showered flowers. Beholding the wondrous beauty, their eyes blossomed with joy, and they remained amazed by its ever-new splendour. ॥७॥नागर कुलमें जन्म मथुरा वासकीनो आय ॥कृपाबल गिरिधरन इच्छाराम जीवन जस गाय ॥८॥Born in the Nagar lineage, She came and made Her dwelling in Mathura. By the grace of Giridharan, Ichharam sings the glory of Her who is his very life. ॥८॥
