दिनकर घर आनन्द उदित बढ्यो अति चलि सखी आज वधावें ॥प्रकट भई यमुना जगतारण सब मिलि मंगल गावें ॥१॥Great joy has arisen and increased in Dinakar’s home. “Come, Sakhi, let us go today and offer congratulations! Yamuna has appeared to uplift the world; let everyone gather and sing auspicious songs.” ॥१॥धन्य कूंख संजारानीकी एसी सुताजो जाई ॥कृष्णप्रिय पटरानी जन्म सुन जित तित बजत बधाई ॥२॥Blessed is the womb of Sanja Rani, who has given birth to such a daughter. Hearing of the birth of Krishna’s beloved chief queen, joyful celebrations resound everywhere. ॥२॥चैतमास शुभ लगन मुहुरत छठ गुरुवार उजेरी॥जुरत निशान नाचत नरनारी गावत देदे हेरी ॥३॥In the month of Chaitra, at an auspicious time, on the sixth day of the bright fortnight, a Thursday, the nishans resound together; men and women dance and sing, calling joyfully to one another. ॥३॥घर घर मंगल मुदित माननी मोतिन चोक पुरावे ॥ध्वजा पताका कदली रोपत वंदनवार बंधावे ॥४॥There is auspicious celebration in every home. The joyful women decorate the chaukas with pearls, raise flags and banners, set up banana trees, and hang festive torans. ॥४॥अधम उद्धारन कारन भूपर भाग्यनदे दरसाई ॥महिमा अपरमपार कहा कहुं वेदपुराणन गाई ॥५॥For the upliftment of the fallen, She has appeared upon the earth and granted darshan to the fortunate. Her glory is boundless—how can it be described? The Vedas and Puranas sing of it. ॥५॥मन्जन करत हरत अघ ओघन भक्त मुक्त गति देनी ॥मानो विधि वैकुंठ चढनकुं अभय तट रचीहे । निसेनी ॥६॥Bathing in Her waters removes multitudes of sins; She grants liberation to Her devotees. It is as though Brahma has fashioned Her sacred bank as a fearless stairway leading up to Vaikuntha. ॥६॥शोभा श्रीमथुरामंडलकी चरण शरणरहुं ताकी ॥माथुर मणि पोखत तोखत नित जिये भरोंसे जाकी ॥७॥She is the splendour of Shri Mathura Mandal; may I remain in the shelter of Her feet. Mathur Mani is nourished and contented by Her, forever keeping his heart’s trust in Her. ॥७॥श्रीविश्राम निकट वहेतहे लागत धार सुहाई ॥जाके दरस परस यम किंकर कबहुं न देत दिखाई ॥८॥She flows beside Shri Vishram, Her beautiful current looking delightful. To one who receives Her darshan and touch, the servants of Yama never appear. ॥८॥कीजे कृपा निजदास जानके मन वांछित फल पाई ॥इच्छाराम मधुपुरी वसकें जन्म कर्म गुण गाई ॥९॥“Knowing me as Your own das, please show Your grace, so that I may receive the cherished desire of my heart.” Ichharam dwells in Madhupuri and sings of Her birth, deeds, and virtues. ॥९॥
