आज बन कोऊ वह जिन जाय ॥सब गायन बछरन समेत घर लावौ चित्र बनाय ॥१॥Today, let no one go there to the forest.Bring all the cows home along with the calves, beautifully adorned. ॥1॥ढोटा हो ब्रज भयौ रायजूकें कहत सुनाय सुनाय ॥चहुँ दिश घोष यही कोलाहल उर आनंद न समाय ॥२॥“O boys, a son has been born in Vraj to Raiju,” they kept saying and announcing.In all four directions this proclamation and joyful noise spread; joy could not be contained in the heart. ॥2॥कितही विलंब करत बिन काजें वेगि चलौ उठि धाय ॥अपने अपने मनके चीते नैनन देखौ आय ॥३॥Why delay for no reason? Rise quickly, run, and go.Come and see with your eyes what each of you has imagined in your own mind. ॥3॥एक फिरत दधि दूब देत है एक रहत गहि पाय ॥एक वसन पट देत बधाई एक उठत हँसि गाय ॥४॥One goes about giving curd and durva grass; one remains holding the feet.One gives garments and cloth in congratulation; one rises, laughing, and sings. ॥4॥बाल विरध नर नारिनके मन भये चौगुने चाय ॥सूरदास प्रमुदित ब्रजवासी गिनत न राजा राय ॥५॥In the hearts of children, elders, men, and women, delight became fourfold.Surdas says: The joyful residents of Vraj do not even count kings and rulers. ॥5॥
