आज ब्रज भयौ सकल आनंद ॥ नंदमहर घर ढोटा जायौ पूरन परमानंद ॥१॥
Today all of Vraj has become complete joy. A boy has been born in Nanda Mahar's house, complete supreme bliss. ॥1॥
मंगल कलश विराजत द्वारें गावत गीत अमंद ॥ नाचत तरुनी और गोप सब प्रगटे गोकुलचंद ॥२॥
Auspicious kalash vessels shine at the doorway, and songs are sung without dullness. Young women and all the gopas dance; Gokulchand has appeared. ॥2॥
विविध भांति बाजे बाजत हैं निगम पढ़त द्विज छंद ॥ छिरकत दूध दही घृत माखन प्रफुलित मुख अरविंद ॥३॥
Instruments play in various ways, and the twice-born recite Vedic verses. Milk, curd, ghee, and butter are sprinkled; lotus faces are blossoming. ॥3॥
देत दान व्रजराज मगन मन फूले अंग न माई ॥ देत असीस जियो जसुमतिसुत गोविंद बलि बलि जाई ॥४॥
Vrajaraj gives charity, his mind absorbed; his limbs swell with joy and do not fit within themselves. They give blessings: “May Yashoda's son live”; Govind again and again offers himself. ॥4॥

mangal kalash viraajat dvaaren gaavat geet amand · naachat tarunee aur gop sab pragate gokulachand ॥2॥
vividh bhaanti baaje baajat hain nigam parhat dvij chhand · chhirakat doodh dahee ghrit maakhan praphulit mukh aravind ॥3॥
det daan vrajaraaj magan man phoole ang na maaee · det asees jiyo jasumatisut Govind bali bali jaaee ॥4॥
