MEANING
अब न छांडों चरण कमल महिमा में जानी ॥सुरपति मेरो नाम धर्यो लोक अभिमानी ॥१॥“Now I shall never leave Your lotus feet, for I have understood Your greatness. The world calls me Surapati, and that made me proud.” ॥१॥अबलों में नहीं जानत ठाकुरहे कोई ॥गोपी ग्वाल राख लिये मेरी पत खोई ॥२॥“Until now, I did not know that there was a Lord above me. You protected the Gopis and Gopas, and my pride was brought down.” ॥२॥ऐरावत कामधेनु गंगाजल आनी ॥हरिको अभिषेक कियो जयजय सुरवानी ॥३॥Airavata and Kamadhenu brought the waters of the Ganga, and Hari’s abhishek was performed while the devas cried, “Jaya! Jaya!” ॥३॥वारंवार प्रणाम करत गोवर्द्धन धारी ॥परमानंद गोप भेख लीला अवतारी ॥४॥Again and again, Indra bows before Govardhandhari. Paramanand says: He who has taken the form of a Gopa is the Lord who has appeared to perform His Leela. ॥४॥
