MEANING
गोपी ग्वाल पुकारन लागे शरण तिहारी राखोजू ॥बादर जुरजुर गाजन लागे भली होय सो भाखोजू ॥१॥The Gopis and Gopas begin to cry out, “We have taken Your shelter—please protect us! The clouds have gathered and are thundering; tell us what we should do for our welfare.” ॥१॥इंद्र कोप हम उपर कीनो मेघ समूह पठायेजू ॥मूशलधार वरखत सेनापर रिपु समान उठ धायेजू ॥२॥“Indra has become angry with us and has sent hosts of clouds. Torrents of rain are pouring down, rushing upon us like an enemy army.” ॥२॥जिनडरपो हों नाथ तिहारो हँसहँस कहत मुरारीजू ॥अनायास छत्र ज्यों छाया पर्वत लीयो उखारीजू ॥३॥“Do not be afraid; I am your protector,” Murariju says with a smile. Effortlessly, He lifts the mountain and holds it over them like a sheltering umbrella. ॥३॥सातद्योस अपनो सो कीनों मघवा रह्यो खिस्याईजू ॥परमानंद कहें गोपीजन केसं बेनु बजाईजू ॥४॥For seven days He kept them safely under His protection, while Maghava remained ashamed and defeated. Paramanand says: the Gopis marvel, “How beautifully He plays the venu!” ॥४॥
