MEANING
आनंद भूतल परमहे आज ॥श्रीविठ्ठलजुके गृह प्रकटे श्रीबालकृष्ण महाराज ॥१॥Today there is supreme joy upon the earth. Shri Balkrishna Maharaj has appeared in the home of Shri Vitthalju. ॥१॥आश्र्विन वदी तेरसदिन शुभ अति हरखे भक्त समाज ॥स्नेहभाव पूरन करुणा निधि दैवी उद्धारन काज ॥२॥On the auspicious thirteenth day of the dark fortnight of Ashvin, the gathering of devotees rejoices greatly. He is filled with loving affection, a treasure-house of compassion, and has appeared for the upliftment of the divine souls. ॥२॥अद्भुत सुन्दर घनश्याम प्रभु सब देवन शिरताज ॥रुक्मिणीमाजी गर्भ भये हरि धर्मकी राखन लाज ॥३॥Prabhu is wondrously beautiful and dark like a raincloud, the crown-jewel of all the devas. Hari appeared from the womb of Rukminimaji to uphold dharma. ॥३॥रूप अगाध अपार महिमा कमलदल लोचन आज ॥पुष्टि भक्ति विस्तार करन हित आये प्रेमकी बांधी पाज ॥४॥His beauty is unfathomable, His glory boundless, and His eyes are like lotus petals. He has come to spread Pushti Bhakti, bound by the loving call of prema. ॥४॥बजत बधाई होत मंगल ध्वनी निजजन सुखके काज ॥श्रीद्वारकेश रिझवत नित्य लीला दासनके उर गाज ॥५॥Songs of celebration resound and auspicious sounds arise, bringing joy to His own devotees. Shri Dwarikesh delights them through His eternal Leela, which ever resounds within the hearts of His servants. ॥५॥
