MEANING
अन्कूट कोटिक भांतनसों भोजन करत गोपाल ।।आपही कहत तात अपनेसों गिरि मूरति देखो तत्काल ।।१।।Gopal accepts the Annakut feast prepared in countless varieties. He Himself says to His father, “Look now and behold the form of Giriraj before you.” ।।१।।सुरपति से सेवक इनहीके शिवविरंचि गुण गावे ।।इनहीतें अष्ट महा सिद्धि नवनिधि परम पदारथ पावे ।।२।।“Even Surapati is His servant, while Shiva and Brahma sing His virtues. From Him come the eight great siddhis, the nine treasures, and the highest blessings.” ।।२।।हम गृह बसत गोधन बन चारत गोधनही कुलदेव ।।इनें छांडजो करत यज्ञ विधि मानो भींतको लेव ।।३।।“We live in our homes and graze our cows in the forest; the cows themselves are our family deity. To neglect them and perform other yajnas is like leaving what is before us and honouring a wall.” ।।३।।यहसुन आनंदे व्रजवासी आनंद दुंदुभी बाजे ।।घरघर गोपी मंगलगावें गोकुल आन बिराजे ।।४।।Hearing this, the people of Vraj rejoice, and joyful dundubhis resound. In every home the Gopis sing auspicious songs, and a new splendour fills Gokul. ।।४।।एक नाचत एक करत कुलाहल एक देत करतारी।।बनिता वृंद बाँयनों वांटत गुंजा पुआ सुहारी ।।५।।Some dance, some raise joyful cries, and others clap their hands. Groups of women distribute festive gifts, including beautiful gunja and pua. ।।५।।तबही इंद्र आयुस दीयो मेघन जाय प्रलयके बरखो ।।यह अपमान कियो धों कोने ताहि प्रकटहे परखो ।।६।।Then Indra commanded the clouds, “Go and pour down the rains of destruction. Find out clearly who has dared to dishonour me.” ।।६।।सातद्योस जल शिला सहस्रन महा उपद्रव कीनों।।नंदादिक विस्मित चितवत सब तब गिरवर कर लीनों ।।७।।For seven days, torrents of rain and countless hailstones caused great distress. As Nanda and the others looked on in amazement, Gopal then lifted Girivar upon His hand. ।।७।।शक्र सकुच सुरभी संग लायो तजी आपनी टेक ।।गहे चरण गोविंद नाम कहि कियो आप अभिषेक ।।८।।Ashamed, Shakra came with Surabhi and gave up his pride. He took hold of the Lord’s feet, proclaimed the name “Govind,” and himself performed His abhishek. ।।८।।महेरि मुदित वर वसन मगाये बोलबोल सब ग्वालिन दीने ।।प्रभु कल्याण गिरिधर युगयुग यों भक्त अभय पदकीने।।९।।Filled with joy, the lady of the house had fine garments brought and called the Gwalinis one by one to give them gifts. Prabhu Kalyan says: Giridhar, age after age, thus grants His devotees the state of fearlessness. ।।९।।
