MEANING
बनयौ रास मंडलमें माधौ गतिमें गत उपजावें हो ॥कर कंकण झनकार मनोहर प्रमुदित वेणु बजावै हो ॥१॥Madhav looks beautiful in the Raas Mandal, creating one graceful movement after another. The bracelets upon His hands ring sweetly as He joyfully plays the venu. ॥१॥श्याम सुभग तन पर दक्षिण कर कूजत चरण सरोजै हो ॥अबलावृंद अवलोकित हरि मुख नयन विकास मनोजें हो ॥२॥Shyam’s beautiful form shines as His right hand moves gracefully and His lotus feet keep rhythm. The young women gaze upon Hari’s face, their eyes blossoming with joy. ॥२॥नीलपीतपट चलत चारु नट रसनागत नूपुर कूजें हो ॥कनक कुंभ कुच बीच पसीना मानों हर मोतिन पूजें हो ॥३॥Blue and yellow garments sway as the graceful dancer moves, while the anklets upon His feet ring in rhythm. Drops of perspiration shine upon the golden forms of the young women, appearing like strings of pearls. ॥३॥हेम लता तमाल अवलंबित शीश मल्लिका फूली हो ॥कुंचित केश बीच अरुझाने मानों अलिमाला झूली हो ॥४॥The golden creepers rest beside the dark Tamal, with blooming mallika flowers upon their heads. Entangled among their curling hair, they appear like garlands of bees gently swaying. ॥४॥शरद विमल निशि चंद बिराजत क्रीड़त यमुना कूलें हो ॥परमानंदस्वामी कौतूहल देखत सुर नर भूलें हो ॥५॥The moon shines in the clear Sharad night as They enjoy the Leela upon the bank of the Yamuna. Paramanand Swami says: beholding this wondrous sight, devas and humans alike forget themselves. ॥५॥
