MEANING
भई सात बरसकी दुलारी मनमें ब्याहकी बात विचारी। महालक्ष्मी रजो जु कुमारी दोऊ मिल गंगा तीर सिधारी ॥१॥The beloved became seven years old and thought in her mind of praying. Mahalakshmi and the maiden Rajo, both together, went to the bank of the Ganga. ॥1॥दूध दही के कलस लिए भर छाब फूलन संगको। निज सखीनको संग ले चली करन पूजन गंगको ॥२॥They took filled pots of milk and curd, with baskets of flowers. Taking their own sakhis along, they went to worship the Ganga. ॥2॥आतुर मन व्हे करत पूजा भोग सामग्री धरी घनी। मांगत है कर जोरके हमे देहो पुरुषोत्तम धनी ॥३॥With eager minds they performed worship and placed abundant bhog-samagri. With folded hands they asked, “Give us Purushottam as our lord.” ॥3॥
