MEANING
बिन गोपाल नहीं कोई अपुनो ॥ कौन पितामाता सुतघरनी यह सब जगत रैनको सपनो ॥१॥ Apart from Gopal, no one is truly our own. Father, mother, son, and wife—what are they? This whole world is like a dream in the night. ॥१॥धनकारन निसदिन जग भटकत वृथा जन्म योंही सब खपनों ॥ अन्त सहाय करै नहि कोई निश्चय काल अग्निमुख झपनों ॥२॥ For the sake of wealth, one wanders through the world day and night, wasting one’s whole life in vain. At the end, no one can come to one’s aid; surely one must fall into the consuming fire of death. ॥२॥सब तज हरिभज युगल कमलपद मोहन निगड चरणनते कपनों ॥ कहत दास श्रीवल्लभविट्ठल श्रीगिरिधर रसना मुखजपनों ॥३॥ Leave all else and worship Hari, taking refuge in the pair of His lotus feet; cut away the bonds of delusion at His feet. The das says: with your tongue, continually repeat the names Shri Vallabh, Vitthal, and Shri Giridhar. ॥३॥
