Meaning
चंपकलीसो पाग बनाउं, पियके सीस बंधावन कों । सहेरो कुंद कलीको तापर दुलहिन ब्याह सधावनकों ॥१॥
I shall make a turban of champak buds to tie upon my beloved’s head, and over it a wedding veil of kunda buds, to celebrate his marriage to the bride. ॥१॥
कमल पुष्प को ललित टिपारो, मल्लकाछ डहकावन कों । मुकुट चमेली की कलियन को, काछनी कटि महकावन कों ॥२॥
A lovely tipara headdress of lotus flowers will lend splendour to his mallakach attire; a crown of jasmine buds and a kachhani around his waist will fill it with fragrance. ॥२॥
कुलह बंधूक कुसुमन की सुरंग रंग सिसुगति तन छबि पावन कों । टोपी पीत सोनजाकी धरि लाल गोद खिलावन कों ॥३॥
A cap of bandhuka flowers, richly coloured, will grace his little child’s form. Placing a yellow cap of sonaja flowers upon him, I shall hold the darling in my lap and play with him. ॥३॥
चंपाके कुसुमनको फेटा, अमेठ उमेठ बतावन कों । पीत दुमालो बसंत पंखुरिन भोजन भाव जतावनकों ॥४॥
A turban of champak flowers will display its twisted folds; a yellow dumala of spring petals will express the loving mood of serving him a meal. ॥४॥
अष्ट सखीकों भेख सखा धर सब बिध हित चित दीनो । बनबिहार यों एक समे कर, सूर मनोरथ सबको कीनो ॥५॥
Their companion assumed these forms for the eight sakhis, lovingly giving his heart to each in every way. Sur says: thus, in a single woodland outing, he fulfilled everyone’s cherished wish. ॥५॥

champakaleeso paag banaaun, piyake sees bandhaavan kon · sahero kund kaleeko taapar dulahin byaah sadhaavanakon ॥1॥
kamal pushp ko lalit tipaaro, mallakaachh dahakaavan kon · mukut chamelee kee kaliyan ko, kaachhanee kati mahakaavan kon ॥2॥
kulah bandhook kusuman kee surang rang sisugati tan chhabi paavan kon · topee peet sonajaakee dhari laal god khilaavan kon ॥3॥
champaake kusumanako phetaa, ameth umeth bataavan kon · peet dumaalo basant pankhurin bhojan bhaav jataavanakon ॥4॥
asht sakheekon bhekh sakhaa dhar sab bidh hit chit deeno · banabihaar yon ek same kar, soor manorath sabako keeno ॥5॥
