देखौ गोपालजूकी लीला Dekhau Gopalajuki Lila
MEANING
देखौ गोपालजूकी लीला ठाटी ।सूर ब्रह्मादिक अचरज ह्वे हे जसुमति हाथ लिये रजु साँटी ॥१॥Behold Gopalji's grand lila. Sur says, even Brahma and the others are astonished, while Jasumati stands with rope and stick in her hand ॥१॥ये सब ग्वाल प्रगट कहत हैं श्याम मनोहर खाई माँटी ।बदन उघार भीतर देख्यों त्रिभुवन रूप बैराटी ॥२॥All these gwals openly say that charming Shyam has eaten dirt; when He opened His mouth, she saw within it the vast form of the three worlds ॥२॥केशवके गुन वेद बखाने शेष सहस मुख साटी लाटी ।लख्यौ न जाय अंत अंतरगति बुधि न प्रवेश कठिन यह घाटी ॥३॥The Vedas describe Keshav's virtues, and Shesh with a thousand mouths tries again and again; His end and inner movement cannot be seen, and the intellect cannot enter this difficult path ॥३॥जन्म कर्म गुन श्यामके बखानत समुझ न परै गूढ़ परपाटी ।जाके शरन गये भय नाँहीं सो सिंधु परमानंद दाटी ॥४॥Describing Shyam's birth, actions, and virtues, this deep manner cannot be understood. Those who go to His refuge have no fear; Paramanand has crossed that ocean ॥४॥
