MEANING
मोहन तें माटी क्यों खाई ।ठाड़े ग्वाल कहत सब बालिक जे तेरे समुदाई ॥१॥Mohan, why did You eat dirt? The gwal boys who are Your companions are standing here and saying so ॥१॥मुकरि गये मैं सुनी न देखी झूठेंई आनि बनाई ।दै प्रतीति पसारि बदन तब सब बसुधा दरसाई ॥२॥He denied it: “I neither heard nor saw this; they have falsely made it up.” To give proof, He opened His mouth wide, and then showed the whole earth ॥२॥मगन भई जसुमति मुख चितवत ऐसी बात उपजाई ।सूरदास उर लाय लालकों लोन उतारत राई ॥३॥Jasumati became absorbed, gazing into His mouth, as such a wonder arose. Surdas says, she held the dear child to her heart and removed the evil glance with salt and mustard ॥३॥
