देखो इन दीपनकी सुंदराई ॥ जानो घनमें विधु मंडल राजत तमनिश परम सुहाई ॥१॥
Behold the beauty of these lamps! They appear like the orb of the moon shining amid dark clouds, making the dark night exceedingly beautiful. ॥१॥
नंदराय अगणित पांती रचि अद्भुत युक्ति बनाई ॥ विविध सुगंध कपूर आदि दे घृत परिपूरण ताई ॥२॥
Nandarai has arranged countless rows of lamps in a wondrous display. They are filled with ghee and scented with various fragrances, including camphor. ॥२॥
घर घर मंगल होत सबनके उर आनंद न समाई ॥
In every home there is auspicious celebration, and the joy within everyone’s heart knows no bounds.
कुंभनदास प्रभु धेनु खिलावत गिरिधर सब सुखदाई ॥३॥
Kumbhandas says: Prabhu Giridhar, the giver of happiness to all, joyfully plays with the cows. ॥३॥

dekho in deepanakee sundaraaee · jaano ghanamen vidhu mandal raajat tamanish param suhaaee ॥1॥
Nandraay aganit paantee rachi adbhut yukti banaaee · vividh sugandh kapoor aadi de ghrit paripooran taaee ॥2॥
ghar ghar mangal hot saban-ke ur aanand na samaaee · kumbhanadaas prabhu dhenu khilaavat Giridhar sab sukhadaaee ॥3॥
