सरस सुहागनि है सरद सोहाई रितु रसिक बिहारी संग पिय प्यारी के ।
In the beautiful season of Sharad, Pyari is the blessed beloved, together with Her Piya, Rasik Bihari.
मानो मदन व्योम चढ़े मान गढ़ लेन अली बान बरखत दीपत दीप यों दिवारीके ॥२ ॥
It seems as though Love itself has come to overcome the fortress of maan, while the glowing lamps of Diwali shine beautifully all around. ॥२॥
