MEANING
॥ आडचोताल ॥ गौर स्याम लेहेरीयां धारनकी झूलत लहरे लेत ॥ पहिरें सरस हेत तेसोई स्याम उधर परो हिय हेत ॥१॥Gaur and Shyam, wearing wave-patterned garments, swing and move in flowing waves. They wear beautiful garments of love; in the same way, Shyam’s heart is filled with love. ॥१॥उफन पर्यो सम सुख सागरलों अंग दिखाई देत ॥ पीय मन मगन होत अभिलाषन भरत मनोहर सेत ॥२॥The ocean of joy has risen and overflowed; Their forms are seen within it. The Beloved’s mind becomes absorbed in joy, and His beautiful presence fills the heart with longing. ॥२॥मधुर मधुर गावत मलार धुनि रीझत भीजत चेत ॥ छूटे चहूँ ओर बसन 'आनंद घन' सरसत हें पीय हेत ॥३॥Sweetly, sweetly, they sing the melody of Malār; the heart is delighted and immersed in the music. The garments flutter freely on all sides; Ānand Ghan is filled with the joy of devotion to the Beloved. ॥३॥
