MEANING
गाय खिलावत श्याम सुजान ॥कूकें ग्वाल टेरदे हीही बाजत बेणु विषाण ॥१॥Wise Shyam plays with the cows. The Gopas call out, crying “Hi! Hi!”, while the venu and cow horns resound. ॥१॥कियोहे शृंगार धेनु सगरिनको को करि सके वखान ॥फिरफिर फिरत पूँछ उन्नत ह्वै करकर सुधे कान ॥२॥All the cows have been beautifully adorned—who could describe their beauty? They move about here and there with their tails raised, repeatedly pricking up their ears. ॥२॥पायपेंजनी मेंदी राजत पींठ पुरटके पान ॥कुंभनदास खेली गिरिधरपैं जिहीं विधि उठी ऊठान ॥३॥Anklets and mehndi adorn their feet, and golden-leaf designs shine upon their backs. Kumbhandas says: the cows frolic around Giridhar, each in whatever playful way arises. ॥३॥
