MEANING
गोधन चारत मदन गोपाल ॥धुक धुक मिल ग्वाल मंडली कमल नैन को ख्याल ॥१॥Madan Gopal grazes the cows. The Gwalas gather close around Him, their hearts filled with thoughts of the lotus-eyed One. ॥१॥धोरी धूमर गौरी सांवरी नंद नंदन के गाय ॥बाजत बैन रहत सब ठारी सुनत कदम को भाय ॥२॥Dhori, Dhumar, Gauri, and Sanvari are Nandanandan’s cows. When the sound of His flute is heard, they all stand perfectly still, listening beneath the Kadamba trees. ॥२॥परमानंद स्वामी नट नागर लीला मान स्वरूप ॥शिव वरंची जाको जस गावत अब ये भेंख अनुप ॥३॥Paramanand says: his Swami, the graceful Nat Nagar, is the very embodiment of Leela. Shiva and Brahma sing His glory; incomparable is this cowherd form He now wears. ॥३॥
