MEANING
हेरी आली झूलत कुंवर कन्हाई ॥ यमुना पुलिन सुभग वृन्दावन रच्यो हिंडोरो सुखदाई ॥१॥Look, sakhi! Prince Kanhai is swinging. On the banks of the Yamuna, in beautiful Vrindavan, a delightful hindola has been prepared. ॥१॥नटवर भेष धर्यो मनमोहन शीश टीपारो सुहाई ॥ संग झूलत वृषभान नंदिनी जोरी अति मन भाई ॥२॥Manmohan has assumed Natvar attire, and a tipara looks beautiful upon His head. Vrishabhan’s daughter swings with Him; the pair is exceedingly pleasing to the heart. ॥२॥दादुर मोर पपैया बोलत कोयल शब्द सुहाई पुरुषोत्तम मिल गावत युवतीजन राग मल्हार जमाई ॥३॥Frogs, peacocks and papiha birds call, and the cuckoo’s voice is sweet. Purushottam says: the young women gather together and sing, beautifully establishing Raga Malhar. ॥३॥
