MEANING
जोलों हरि अपुनपो न जनावे ॥ तोलों सकलसिद्धान्त मारगको पढ़ें सुनें नहिं आवे ॥१॥ Until Hari Himself makes one know that one belongs to Him, merely reading and hearing all the doctrines of the path does not bring true understanding. ॥१॥सुनब्रह्मा नारायण मुखतें नारदकूँ सिखदीनी ॥ नारद कही वेदव्याससों आप खोज नहिं कीनी ॥२॥ Brahma heard it from Narayan’s own mouth and taught it to Narad. Narad then told it to Vedavyas; it was not something he discovered by his own effort. ॥२॥वेदव्यास औषधकी न्याई पढ़ तन ताप मिटायो ॥ ताते पढ़े मुनीशुकदेव परीक्षितकूं जो सुनायो ॥३॥ Vedavyas received it like a medicine and thereby removed the affliction of his heart. From him, the sage Shukdev learned it and then narrated it to Parikshit. ॥३॥यद्यपि सुनी नृप व्रजकीलीला दशम कही शुकदेवा ॥ तोपैं सरवात्मभाव न उपजो तातें करी न सेवा ॥४॥ Although the king heard the lilas of Vraj as Shukdev described them in the Tenth Skandha, sarvatma-bhava did not arise in him; therefore he did not perform seva. ॥४॥श्रीभागवत अमृतदधि मथके श्रीवल्लभ सर्वोत्तम ॥ कर आवरण दूर निजजनके हाथदिये पुरुषोत्तम ॥५॥ Churning the nectar-like curd of the Shri Bhagavat, Shri Vallabh, the supreme one, removed the covering for His own people and placed Purushottam into their hands. ॥५॥सेवासाज शृंगारसुभग रसखान पान प्रकटायो ॥ वृंदावन निकुंजकी लीला हरि जीवन स्वाद चखायो ॥६॥ He revealed seva, its beautiful adornment, and the drinking of that treasure of rasa. He gave His people a taste of Hari’s life-giving lila in the nikunjas of Vrindavan. ॥६॥
