MEANING
काहु जोगियाकी दृष्टि लागी कन्हैया मेरो रोवै हो माई ।घरघर पूँछत फिरत जसोदा दूध पीवै ना सोवै ॥१॥“Some yogi's gaze has struck Him; my Kanhaiya is crying, mother.” Yashoda goes from house to house asking, for He neither drinks milk nor sleeps ॥१॥कहाँ गये जोगी नंदभवन ब्रजमें फिरि फिरि हारे ।फन जोगिया कों ढूँढ़ि निकासी सुतकौ ताप निवारै ॥२॥“Where has the yogi gone from Nanda's house?” They wander through Vraj and grow weary; they search out that serpent-like yogi to remove the child's fever ॥२॥चलिरे जोगी नंदभवनमें जसुमति मात बुलावै ।लटकत लटकत शंकर आवै मनमें मोद बढ़ावै ॥३॥“Come, yogi, to Nanda's house; Mother Jasumati calls you.” Shankar comes swaying along, increasing joy in his heart ॥३॥आये जोगी नंदभवनमें राईलौन कर लीनौ ।वारि फेरि लालनके ऊपर हाथ शीशपै दीनौ ॥४॥The yogi came to Nanda's house and took mustard and salt in his hand; waving them over the dear child, he placed his hand on His head ॥४॥रोग दोष सब दूरि गयो है किलक हँसे नंदलाला ।मगन भई नंदजुकी रानी दीनी मोतिन माला ॥५॥All illness and fault went far away, and Nandalala cooed and laughed; Nandji's queen became absorbed in joy and gave a pearl garland ॥५॥रहौ रहौ जोगी नंदभवनमें ब्रजमें बासौ कीजै जब जब मेरो लाला रोवै तबतब दर्शन दीजै ॥६॥“Stay, stay, O yogi, in Nanda's house; make your dwelling in Vraj. Whenever my child cries, then give darshan” ॥६॥तुम तो जोगी परम मनोहर तुमको वेद बखानै ।बूढ़ौ बाबू नाम हमारी सूर श्याम मोहि जानै ॥७॥“You are a supremely charming yogi, whom the Vedas describe. My name is old Babu; Sur's Shyam knows me” ॥७॥
