MEANING
हे दैया मतवाला जोगी द्वारे मेरे आया है । जटाजूट शिर गंग बिराजत त्रैलोचन मन भाया है ।वृषभ ऊपर असवार होयके श्रीगोकुलकों धाया है ॥१॥O mother! An ecstatic yogi has come to my door. Matted locks crown his head, the Ganga rests there, and the three-eyed one delights the heart. Mounted upon his bull, he has hastened to Shri Gokul. ॥1॥बाघंबर पाटंबर सोहै अंगछार लपटाया है ।कर त्रिशूल डमरू लियें खप्पर सिंगीनाद बजाया है ॥२॥His tiger-skin garment looks splendid, and his body is covered with ash. In his hands he carries a trident, damaru and skull-bowl, and he sounds his horn. ॥2॥अरुण नैन विजयाजु चढ़ायें आक धतूरा खाया है ।तिलक चंद्रमा भृकुटी ऊपर जोगी जुगत बनाया है ॥३॥His eyes are red, intoxicated with bhang, and he has eaten aak and dhatura. The moon forms a tilak above his brow; the yogi has assumed this appearance. ॥3॥रुंडमाल गैर बीच विराजत शेषनाग लपटाया है ।अद्भुत रूप धर्यो जोगीकौ मेरा गुपाल डराया है ॥४॥A garland of skulls adorns his neck, and the serpent Shesh is coiled around him. The yogi has assumed such a wondrous form that my Gopal has become frightened. ॥4॥देखों मैया तेरा बालक जिन मोय चटक लगाया है ।सूरश्याम चरनरज बंदी दर्शनमें सचुपाया है ॥५॥“Look, mother, at your child, who has cast a spell upon me!” Surdas bows to the dust of Shyam’s feet and has found true joy in His darshan. ॥5॥
