MEANING
कपि चल्यो सीय सुधिकौं पुनि पाँयन तन लटकि कैं ॥रिपुकौ कटक विकट ताकौ चौथौ अंस पटकि कैं ॥१॥Hanumanji set out to seek news of Mata Sita, after again bowing and clinging at the Ramji's feet. He struck down even a fourth of that formidable enemy army. ॥१॥रथसौं रथ भटनसौं भट चट पटीसी चटक कैं ॥जारि कैं गढ़ लंक विकट रावण मुकुट झटक कैं ॥२॥He smashed chariot against chariot and warrior against warrior, striking them down in swift combat. He burned the formidable fortress of Lanka and humbled Ravana’s crown. ॥२॥कितेक छैल तंदुल से छरे लै लै मूशल मटक कैं ॥गिरिसौं गज गेंदसी गहि डार्यौ भूमि भटक कैं ॥३॥Many mighty warriors were scattered like grains of rice as he swung his mace against them. He seized mountain-like elephants as though they were balls and hurled them crashing to the ground. ॥३॥सुरपुर आनंद उमग उरसौं आँट अटककैं ॥नंददास बहुर्यौ नट ज्यों उलटि पाछौ समुद्र सटककैं ॥४॥In the realm of the devas, joy surged within every heart, all fear and constraint cast aside. Nandadas says: then, like an agile acrobat, Hanumanji turned back and swiftly crossed the ocean once again. ॥४॥
