Meaning
परदेसनि नारि अकेली ॥ बिन रघुनाथ और नहीं कोऊ मात पिता न सहेली ॥१॥
I am a woman alone in a foreign land. Apart from Raghunath, I have no one—neither mother nor father nor sakhi. ॥१॥
रावण रूप धर्यौ तपसीकौ कितमें भिक्षा मेली ॥ आज्ञा नहीं हीन मति मेरी रामरेख पद पेली ॥२॥
Ravana assumed the form of an ascetic and came asking for alms. In my poor judgment, I did not obey the command and stepped across the line drawn. ॥२॥
विरह ताप तन अधिक जरावत जैसें दुम बन बेली ॥
The burning pain of separation fiercely consumes my body, like a forest creeper scorched by fire.
सूरदास प्रभु बेगि न मिलिहैं प्राण जात हैं खेली ॥३॥
Surdas says: if I do not meet my Prabhu soon, my life will slip away in an instant. ॥३॥

paradesani naari akelee · bin raghunaath aur naheen kooo maat pitaa na sahelee ॥1॥
raavan roop dharyau tapaseekau kitamen bhikshaa melee · aagyaa naheen heen mati meree raamarekh pad pelee ॥2॥
virah taap tan adhik jaraavat jaisen dum ban belee · Soordaas prabhu begi na milihain praan jaat hain khelee ॥3॥
