केसें केसें गाय चराई गिरिधर ॥गोरज मुखतें झार जसोदा लेत बलैयां फेरकर ॥१॥“How did You manage to graze the cows, Giridhar?” Yashoda gently brushes the cow-dust from His face and lovingly wards away all harm from Him again and again. ॥१॥कहां रहे तुम घाम छांह मध्य घन बरख्यो बल समेत सुन्दर बर ॥“Where were You when the clouds poured down—out in the sun or beneath some shade, together with Bal, my beautiful One?”नंददास प्रभु कहत जननीसों हम न डरे देखि बादर ॥Nandadas says: Prabhu replies to His mother, “We were not afraid when we saw the clouds.”
