MEANING
लालके रथकी शोभा देखी ॥ कर्यो मनोरथ व्रजकी बनिता मानिक जडित विशेखी॥१॥The women of Vraj beheld the beauty of Lal’s chariot and fulfilled their cherished desire; it was splendidly adorned with inset jewels. ॥१॥वागो कुलही सारी चोली चित्रित कोमल सेती ॥ दोउ भोग दोउ मिल अरपत तीजो सखी समेती ॥२॥The baga and kulah, and the sari and choli, were all beautifully patterned and of fine, soft fabric. The two, together as a pair, receive the bhog, with a sakhi attending upon Them. ॥२॥बीथन कीरत सुनत जो श्रवनन झांक झरोखन देखत ॥ बंक विलोकन चितई चन्द्रमुखी धन्य भाग्य जिय लेखत ॥३॥Hearing His praise in the streets, the moon-faced women peep through the windows to behold Him. Receiving His graceful sidelong glance, they consider themselves greatly blessed. ॥३॥सिंधद्वार आये तब जसोमति गावत मंगल चार ॥ पट की ओट कराय चहुँदिश लाई धरावन थार ॥४॥When He comes to the main doorway, Yashoda sings auspicious songs. A cloth-screen is arranged, and trays for the welcoming rites are placed all around. ॥४॥बीरा देय दिवाय सबनकों हितसों आरति वारी ॥ द्वारकेश प्रभुकों ले आई राई लोन उतारी ॥५॥She gives biri to everyone and lovingly performs arati. Dwarkesh says: she brings Prabhu inside and wards away the evil eye with mustard seeds and salt. ॥५॥
