MEANING
नखशिख करि सिंगार प्रियापिय झूलत कुंज हिंडोरे आय ॥मुखमिलाय दोउ दर्पण देखत मधुरमधुर दोउ बेन बजाय ॥१॥Having adorned themselves from head to toe, the beloved pair have come to swing upon the hindora in the kunj. With their faces close together, the two look into the mirror, and both speak very sweet words. ॥१॥आई घटा घुमड चहुं दिशतें चमकत चपला अति छबि पाय ॥मंदमंद घनघोर करतहें बरखत फुही मोद मनलाय ॥२॥Clouds have gathered on all sides, and the lightning flashes with great beauty. The deep clouds softly rumble, and a gentle drizzle falls, filling the mind with joy. ॥२॥इन्द्रधनुष पचरंग बिराजत बगपंगति अद्भुत दरसाय ॥दादुरमोर चकोर कीर पिक और पपैया पिउपिउगाय ॥३॥The five-coloured rainbow shines forth, and rows of cranes present a wondrous sight. Frogs, peacocks, chakors, parrots, cuckoos, and papihas call out, singing “piu-piu.” ॥३॥तेसोइ वन प्रफुलित नानाफल फूलनसौरभ चहुंदिश छाय ॥रसिकदास प्रभुकों सब झुलवत व्रजवनिता मधुरें सुरगाय ॥४॥In the same way, the forest is blossoming, with many fruits, while the fragrance of flowers spreads in all directions. Rasikdas says: all the women of Vraj are swinging Prabhu and singing in sweet melodies. ॥४॥
