सांची कहो मनमोहन मोसो तो खेलों तुम संग होरी ॥Tell me truly, Manmohan, did You play Holī with me or with someone else?आजु कि रैन कहाँ रहे मोहन कहाँ करी बरजोरी ॥१॥Where were You today and tonight, Mohan? Where did You act so boldly? ॥१ ॥मुख पर पीक पीठिपर कंकन हियें हार विन डोरी ॥There is betel color upon Your face, a bracelet is on Your back, and a necklace is upon Your chest without its string.जियमें ओर ऊपर कछु औरे चाल चलत कछु ओरी ॥२॥There is something else in Your heart, and outwardly You show something different; You behave in yet another way. ॥२ ॥मोहि बतावत मोहन नागर कहा मोहि जानत भोरी ॥Mohan, the clever one, tells me one thing; why do You take me to be so simple and unaware?भोर भये आये हों मोहन बात कहत कछु जोरी ॥३॥You came when morning came, Mohan, and now You put together some excuse as You speak. ॥३ ॥सूरदास प्रभु एसी न कीजे आय मिलो कहा चोरी ॥Sūrdās says: Prabhu, do not do this; come and meet me—what is there to hide?मनमानें त्यों कत नंदसुत अब आई हे होरी ॥४॥Why, Nandasuta, do You now act according to Your own wish? Holī has come. ॥४ ॥
