MEANING
शोभा माई अब देखन की बहार ॥ गोवर्धन पर्वतके ऊपर मोरनकी पतवार ॥१॥Mother, now is the season for beholding beauty. Upon Mount Govardhan there are rows of peacocks. ॥१॥ठाडे लाल पीतपट ओढें मुरली मधुर रसाल ॥ मोर चंद्रिका माथें सोहे और गुंजनके हार ॥२॥Lal stands there draped in yellow cloth, and His flute sounds sweet and full of rasa. A peacock-feather chandrika shines upon His forehead, and He wears garlands of gunja beads. ॥२॥घनगरजत और दामिनी दमकत नेन्ही नेन्ही परत फुहार ॥ सूरदास प्रभु तोऊ न अघेहें अखियां होंय लख चार ॥३॥The clouds thunder, the lightning flashes, and fine little sprays of rain keep falling. Surdas says: even then, one would not have enough of Prabhu’s beauty, even if one had a hundred thousand eyes. ॥३॥
