सुनौ हो जसोदा Sunau Ho Jasoda
MEANING
सुनौ हो जसोदा आज कहूँ ते गोकुल में एक पंडित आयौ।अपने सुतकौ हाथ दिखावौ सो वह कहै जो विधि निरमायौ ॥१॥Listen, O Jasoda, today from somewhere a pandit has come to Gokul. Show him your son's hand, and he will tell what destiny has fashioned ॥१॥तुरत ही जन पठयौ देखनकों आनि बुलाय दियौ अरघासन ।पाँय पखारि पूँजि अँजुली लै तब द्विजपै माँग्यौ अनुशासन ॥२॥At once she sent a person to see and call him, and gave him a seat of honor; washing his feet and worshiping him with folded hands, she then asked the Brahmin for instruction ॥२॥मुख पखारि काजर टिकुली दै कंठन सों हरि कंठ लगायौ ।सुंदर तात मात कनियाँ लै विप्र चरन बंदन करवायौ ॥३॥Washing His face, applying kajal and a forehead mark, she held Hari close to her neck; taking the beautiful child with father and mother, she had Him bow to the Brahmin's feet ॥३॥दै असीस कर धरि कर देख्यौ सुनि विशालनैनी सुतके गुन ।लोचन चिह्न होइ ये श्रीपति उदर दाम पावन शुभ बंदन ॥४॥Giving blessings, he took the hand and examined it; O large-eyed one, listen to your son's qualities. The marks of the eyes are here: He is Shripati; on His belly is the cord, a pure and auspicious binding ॥४॥हस्त सूत पग दूत बहुत गुन भुव मंडल या सम नहीं कोऊ ।परमानंद करी नौछावरि हरखे नंद जसोदा दोऊ ॥५॥In His hands, thread, feet, and signs are many virtues; in the circle of the earth there is no one like Him. Paramanand offers himself; both Nanda and Jasoda rejoiced ॥५॥
