सुनि सुनि सुत की बात जननी तात हँसी हँसी जात कोर ले ले खात त्यों त्यों अखियाँ सिरात ॥ संकरसन कहत केसी उमडि घूमडि घटा आई स्याम कहत दमकि दामिनी डरात ॥१॥
Hearing the words of their sons again and again, Mother and Father smile with delight. As the boys take morsel after morsel and eat, their eyes are filled with contentment. Sankarshan says, “See how the clouds have gathered and rolled in,” while Shyam says, “The flashing lightning frightens me.” ॥१॥
बातन ही बातन मिस ब्यारु करत रुचि बढाई जानि री जसोदा मैया तेरे जीये की में बात ॥ दूध दीयो ऊंचे लीयो कह्यो सब ही कियो 'कृष्णदास' गिरिधर जीयो बलि बलि गई मात ॥२॥
Amid this lively conversation, they continue their evening meal, and their enjoyment of it keeps increasing. “O Yashoda Maiya, I know what is in your heart.” She gave Him milk, lifted Him close, and did everything He asked. Krishnadas says: Mother offers herself again and again to Giridharji. ॥२॥

suni suni sut kee baat jananee taat hansee hansee jaat kor le le khaat tyon tyon akhiyaan siraat · sankarasan kahat kesee umadi ghoomadi ghataa aaee syaam kahat damaki daaminee daraat ॥1॥
baatan hee baatan mis byaaru karat ruchi badhaaee jaani ree jasodaa maiyaa tere jeeye kee men baat · doodh deeyo oonche leeyo kahyo sab hee kiyo 'krishnadaas' Giridhar jeeyo bali bali gaee maat ॥2॥
