MEANING
स्यामकहा चाहतसेडोलत ॥ बूझे हुते वदनदुरावत सूधेबोल नबोलत ॥१॥“Shyam, what are You looking for, wandering about like this?” When questioned, He turns His face away and does not give a straight answer. ॥१॥सूनेनिपट अंध्योरमंदिर दधिभाजन में हाथ ॥ अबकाकोतुम उत्तर करहो कोऊसंगनसाथ ॥२॥“The house is completely empty and dark, and Your hand is inside the curd pot! What explanation will You give now? There is no one here with You.” ॥२॥मैंजान्यो यहमेरोघरहैं तिहिंधोखेमैं आयो ॥ देखतहीगोरसमेंचेंटी काढनकोंकरनायो ॥३॥“I thought this was my own house, and by mistake I came in here. Then I saw an ant in the curd, so I put my hand in to take it out.” ॥३॥सुनसुनचतुर वचनमोहनके ग्वालिन मुरमुसकानी ॥ सूरदास प्रभुहोरतिनागर सबैबातहमजानी ॥४॥Hearing Mohan's clever words, the cowherd woman smiled gently. Surdas says, “O Lord, You are so clever and charming! I know everything that has happened.” ॥४॥
