ठाडे कुंज द्वार पीय प्यारी करत परस्पर हसहस बतीयां ॥Piya and Pyari stand at the entrance of the kunj, smiling and talking happily with one another.रंगीली तीज गनगोर भोर सज आईं घर घर तें सब सखीयां ॥१॥On the colourful festival of Teej-Gangaur, all the sakhis adorn themselves and come at dawn from their respective homes. ॥१॥करत आरती अति रसमाती गावत गीत नीरख मुख अखीयां ॥Filled with joyful devotion, they perform arati and sing songs, while their eyes remain fixed upon Their beautiful faces.कृष्णदास प्रभु चतुर नागरी कहा बरनों नांहीं मेरी गतीयां ॥२॥Krishnadas says: how can I describe Prabhu and the graceful Nagari?
