MEANING
वृन्दावन कनकभूमि नृत्यत व्रज नृपति कुंवर ॥उघटत शब्द सुमुखी रसिक ग्रग्रतततत तथेईथेई गति लेतसुघर ॥१॥On the golden ground of Vrindavan, the prince of the king of Vraj dances. With a charming face, the rasika beautifully takes His steps as the rhythmic syllables resound—“gragra-tatatata, tathei-thei.” ॥१॥लाल काछ कटि किंकिणी पगनूपुर रुनुझुनात बीचबीच मुरली धरत अधर ॥गोविन्द प्रभु केजु मुदित संगी सखा करत प्रशंसा प्रेमभर ॥२॥His red waistcloth shines, the little bells at His waist and the anklets on His feet ring softly, and from time to time He places the flute upon His lips. Govind says: Prabhu’s joyful companions and cowherd friends praise Him with hearts full of love. ॥२॥
