आज न्हाओ मेरे कुँवर कन्हैया मानी काल दिवारी ॥ अति सुगंध केसर उबटनों नये वसन सुखकारी ॥१॥Bathe today, my Kunvar Kanhaiya, for tomorrow Diwali will be celebrated. Very fragrant saffron ubtan and new garments give joy. ॥1॥कछु खाओ पकवान मिठाई हों तुम ऊपरवारी ॥ कर श्रृंगार चले दोउभैया तृणतोरत मेहतारी ॥२॥Eat some dishes and sweets; I offer myself upon You. After shringar, the two brothers go out, and Mother breaks grass to ward off evil. ॥2॥गोधन गीत गावत व्रजपुरमें घरघर मंगलचारी ॥ कृष्णदास प्रभुकी यह लीला गिरिगोवर्द्धनधारी ॥३॥In Vraj, songs of Go-dhan are sung, and auspiciousness moves through every home. Krishnadas says: this is the lila of Prabhu Giri-Govardhandhari. ॥3॥
