MEANING
आगम अषाढी मेह बरसे हरियारी भोम चंद वधु सेन सुख हिमत बढाई है।दामिनी बली नानाल गरज तुरंग पौन मोरउ नवानी चोंच कंचन मढाई है ॥१॥With the coming of Ashadh, the rains pour down, and the earth has turned green, like a lovely bride, increasing joy and gladness. Lightning flashes with force, thunder resounds, the wind rushes like a swift steed, and the peacock lifts its fresh beak, seeming as though it were overlaid with gold. ॥१॥कोकिला गवैयक बगपांतिके निसान मानो दादुर भिखारी पाटी चातक पढाई है।'ब्रजाधीश' रूप कोटि जोबन कसेरो पास धीर न धरे गोबार पावस चढाई है ॥२॥The cuckoo is like a singer, and the rows of herons seem like banners; the frogs appear like wandering mendicants, and the chatak as though reciting its lesson. Brajadhish says: as the rainy season rises in full beauty, the people of Vraj can no longer keep their composure before such splendor. ॥२॥
