MEANING
अरी माई नई नई धरती दुलहनि होय रही मेघ मल्हार आये व्याहन ॥ इन्द्रके नगारे बाजें बूंदनको शहेरो बादर बराती आये वरन वरन ॥१॥O Mother, the fresh new earth has become like a bride, and the clouds of Malhar have come for the wedding. Indra’s kettledrums resound; the raindrops form the sehra, and clouds of many colors arrive like the wedding procession. ॥१॥दादुर पपैया बोले कोयल करत रोर मोर कुहु कुहु लागे करन ॥ रसिक प्रीतमकी बानिक निरखत रतिपति काम लाग्यो डरन ॥२॥The frogs and papiha birds call out, the cuckoo raises its voice, and the peacocks begin their cries. Beholding the graceful bearing of the rasika Pritam, even Kamadev, the lord of love, begins to feel humbled. ॥२॥
