जेसी घन घटा तेसो सांवरे को संग तेसोई कुंज भवन अंधियारो ॥ रतन जटित आभूषन राजत तेसोई राधिका तन उजियारो ॥१॥
As dark as the gathering rainclouds is the presence of dark Shyam, and just as dark is the secluded grove. Jewel-studded ornaments shine there, and Radhika’s radiant form glows brightly. ॥१॥
तेसोई नेह नवल नागरी को तेसोई दुल्हे नंद दुलारो ॥ 'आसकरन' प्रभु दंपति राजत तेसोई प्रान प्यारो ॥२॥
Just as ever-fresh is the affection of the graceful Nagari, so too is Nanda’s beloved son as the bridegroom. Askaran says: the divine pair shine beautifully together, each equally dear as life itself. ॥२॥

tesoee neh naval naagaree ko tesoee dulhe Nand dulaaro · 'aasakaran' prabhu dampati raajat tesoee praan pyaaro ॥2॥
