MEANING
दीपदानदे हटरी बैठे नवललाल गोवर्द्धनधारी ॥दोहरी पांत बनी दीपनकी व्रजशोभा लागत अति भारी ॥१॥After offering the lamps, Navallal Govardhandhari sits at the little shop. Double rows of lamps are arranged, making Vraj look exceedingly beautiful. ॥१॥तैसेही बने नंदके नंदन तैसी बनी राधिकारानी ॥गृहगृहतें आईं व्रजसुंदरि मात यशोदा देख सिहानी ॥२॥Nanda’s son is beautifully adorned, and so too is Radhika Rani. The Sundaris of Vraj come from every home, and Mother Yashoda rejoices to see them. ॥२॥भांतभांत पकवान मिठाई लेले गोद सबनकी नाबत ॥आरति करत देत नोछावर फिरफिर मंगल गीत गवावत ॥३॥Many kinds of festive dishes and sweets are prepared; taking Lala into their laps, everyone fondles Him. They perform arati, make loving offerings over Him, and sing auspicious songs again and again. ॥३॥उठ कर लाल खरिकमें आये टेरटेर सब सखा बुलाये ॥श्रीविठ्ठलगिरिधरनलालनें सब गायनके कान जगाये ॥४॥Then Lala rises and comes to the cattle enclosure, calling all His sakhas again and again. Shri Vitthal Giridharnalal awakens all the cows. ॥४॥
