MEANING
धनतेरस रानी धन धोवति। गर्ग बुलाई वेद-विधि पूजति ठौर-ठौर घृत-दीप संजोवति ॥On Dhanteras, the queen washes the wealth. Calling Garg, she worships by Vedic method and arranges ghee-lamps in place after place.धूप दीप नैवेद्य भोग धरि स्यामसुन्दर इकटक मुख जोवति। "परमानंद" त्यौहार मनावति सब ब्रज पुष्टि-मारग-धन बोवति ॥Offering incense, lamps, naivedya, and bhog, she gazes steadily at Shyamsundar's face. Paramanand says: she celebrates the festival, sowing throughout Vraj the wealth of the Pushti path.
