घरी एक छांडो तात विहार ॥रामकृष्ण तुम दोऊ भैया आवो बैठो करो शृंगार ॥१॥“My dear ones, leave Your play for just a little while. Ram and Krishna, You two brothers, come and sit down to be adorned.” ॥१॥यशोमति कहतहे आज अमावस दीपमालिका मंगलनाम ॥घरघर बालक सबे शृंगारे सुनो श्यामघन राम ॥२॥Yashomati says, “Today is Amavasya, the auspicious festival of Deepmalika. In every home the children are beautifully adorned—listen, Shyamghan and Ram.” ॥२॥खेलेंगी गाय गुवाल नाचें सब गोपी गावें गीत ॥परमानंद दास यह मंगल वेद पुराण पुनीत ॥३॥“The cows will frolic, the Gopas will dance, and all the Gopis will sing.” Paramananddas says: this auspicious celebration is praised as sacred in the Vedas and Puranas. ॥३॥
